Doesn't post in 3 weeks. Hasn't achieved much.

I've been busy. Mostly just not radio busy.

Before the weather set in, I was mostly getting around outside with a paintbrush.

Then it got wet, so progress halted all bar winding up with 3 cameras hanging off the new shed's 12v setup. They're pulling around 13w at idle, so that's good. At some point some additional networking gear will arrive which will pump it up a bit, but anyway. Such is life.

I did throw a couple of SSTV pics out over the weekend with no reply. I could at least hear myself on a VK5 SDR, so that was something. The image wasn't great, but it was there.

I seem to have received a bit but the images aren't great. Not sure how much of that is simply the conditions, and how much is simply noise from this environment.

I did receive a couple of pretty good images from the last ISS transmission:

Given it was a Russian event, I had no interest in chasing awards for them, but still, the middle image is pretty hard to fault. As usual that was received on the IC706Mk2G via the X200 antenna.

I haven't done any FT8 of late simply because the G90 won't talk to the now 1 PC I have been both radios.

The other PC is in the shed - often off, but occasionally on connected to the SDR. I'd planned on running the G90 on that, but I'm not entirely sure I want to. I may still just run it on a Raspberry Pi, but doing so screws with the integration I have running between apps for logging and GridTracker. I also don't have a decent antenna down there as yet. Nor do I have the budget for enough cable to do that job just at the moment. Once the consistent rains go away, I might look at using the screwdriver out there for a while. I'm just not sure how water resistant that design actually is.

The XYL has a long list of things she'd like to see done in the yard and the house, so I best be seen to be making some progress on those before returning to the things I'd prefer to be doing.

Still, I've been reasonably busy. And I have a garage still full of junk that hasn't moved since I moved the stuff I want out to the shed. One day. Possibly when the conditions in there are no longer Arctic.
