The Cold + WiFi.

My new wireless access point arrived yesterday. Given the lack of places to actually install it, it's currently sitting in the laundry with a cable strung over the door into the linen cupboard where the southern patch panel is.

Being a Unifi product, it integrated without drama once I plugged it in. A few minutes of it provisioning itself, and it was ready to go.

Solar monitoring has been pretty stable ever since. A win I guess. The signal isn't great, but it's now working as expected, so that'll do for now.

I did note, going into the shed last night that it really was prohibitively cold. I don't like the heat... but I don't much care for the cold either. I've been debating the idea of a diesel heater for a while. Last night I brought 2 - the XYL is likely to steal it if I have one.. and she's in need of a mothers day present anyway, so it's a bit of a win win. Would have preferred to have spent the money on another battery.. but then I need to be able to go in there first... and it was cold enough that wasn't happening.

At the moment it's 2.89C in the shed. Hard pass.

I suspect it'll be complete overkill for the space, but it should at least allow me to heat it quickly and make it comfortable enough at odd hours.

I did also manage to source a stool on casters high enough to be useful. I doubt it'll last long, but at least it's usable for now. I'm getting closer to having the space be comfortable enough to use.
