FT8 on 10m During the Day

Around work yesterday I was keeping an eye on the bands with FT8. For me at least there is that period in the mornings where 40m dies off and 15m really hasn't come up yet, so I decided to pop over to 10m - somewhere I rarely go. To my surprise I was seeing DX traffic. 

I'd once made contact with a US station on 10m back in 2020, but otherwise it's always been pretty dead to me. It was quite simply - busy. 

I managed to get 10 contacts in the space of an hour, and 15 total over 2 hours. And that was while I was multitasking. Predominantly Japanese stations, but a couple of Russian stations as well - I have no issue with working them on any format if they have no issue working with me. I have no ill will toward the average Russian. I can't determine who does or does not support their leader, or who does or does not behave out of fear given that regime.

Avoiding a multi-page rant on that issue, suffice to say, 10m has been interesting enough. I've never seen it quite so active before - in fact I tend to ignore it given how active it usually isn't.
