Inside the ATU-100
I received an email from a fellow HAM earlier regarding one of my Youtube videos about the ATU-100 auto tuner that is so popular.. and cheap.
He's a victim of the often shady Chinglish that appears so frequently on ads for these - that they often allude to them being a completed unit rather the being clear as to whether they are actually selling a completed tuner, a complete kit of semi-completed components to assemble or a complete kit of individual components for those who are willing (and skilled enough) to tackle a ground up build.
This ham has received a board, screen and bits and the typical lack of useful information as to what is next.
I'm by no means an expert on this - I went to great pains.. and probably overpaid.. to get a completed unit (which also lacked any meaningful instructions).
So, here's a pics with the lid off in some hope that this might be of use to anyone finding themselves in a similar situation.

The only things I haven't captured are the connectors from the USB socket going to the battery underneath.
